A new Russian tractor from UMG has been presented - it is a universal model

The UMG brand presented a new product – the T1404 tractor. First of all, the model is intended for work in the agricultural industry. But in terms of versatility, the equipment is not inferior to the famous MTZ-82. So the tractor is also suitable for public utilities.


The UMG T1404 is capable of working with a wide range of mounted, semi-mounted and trailed equipment. All this is offered by the equipment manufacturer. In addition, the tractor can be used as a light tractor for transport work on an ongoing basis.

Although the UMG T1404 is considered Russian, this is not entirely true. The tractor is manufactured using components and components made in China. But this does not mean that they are of poor quality. Judging by the reviews from buyers of UMG equipment, they are more reliable than the vaunted MTZ ones.


If we take it as a whole, the quality of Belarusian tractors has not been the same as in the USSR for a long time. And Chinese parts are widely used there.

Under the hood of the UMG T1404 is a YTO brand turbodiesel engine. This company is from the Middle Kingdom, operating since 1955. Engine power – 140 hp. Volume – 4,75 liters.

Paired with the power unit is a manual gearbox. It has 16 front and 8 rear stages. This allows you to select the optimal driving mode according to the work being performed. The tractor speed is just over 35 km/h.

The rear power take-off shaft of the UMG T1404 is two-speed. In combination with a separate hydraulic system, this allows the use of a wide range of not only agricultural, but also specific municipal equipment.

To operate the tractor with trailers, an air brake system is provided for them. This expands the scope of application, allowing you to move on public roads without breaking anything and observing safety precautions.

The UMG T1404 has full drive. The front axle has a mechanical connection system. This makes it possible to travel while saving fuel on good roads. If necessary, an all-wheel drive tractor with a mechanical differential lock on the rear axle is capable of working even on the heaviest soils.


The tracks are adjustable. This makes it possible to adapt to the cultivation of row crops.

The UMG T1404 cabin is modern, ensuring operator safety and comfort during the work shift. There's even a rearview camera as standard.
