Moreover, knowing full well that it will not be possible to fit the old V8 and V12 into the new environmental standards, the manufacturer is going to invest money in their modernization. As a last resort, classic internal combustion engines will be supplemented with hybrid “makeweights”. In general, they plan to invest a significant amount in this industry.
As for the appearance of the first electric car, it is now promised not by 2025, but by 2027. And it’s not a fact that he will appear at this time - potential clients do not show interest.

The fact is that the main buyers of the British brand are conservatives. They choose Aston Martin not because they are the most powerful and fastest cars in the world. If you wish, you can find many superior models from competitors, albeit not so famous.
But buyers appreciate the design, the brand's history, the sound of the V8 and V12 engines and the smell of the exhaust. This is exactly what they tell dealers in company sales centers. And no electric cars!
Therefore, Aston Martin management, represented by the brand's executive chairman Lawrence Stroll, stated that internal combustion engines will remain in the model range until at least 2035. At least until it is allowed by law.
Moreover, the world is experiencing a decline in demand for electric cars. It is quite possible that in 5-10 years it will turn out that this is just a new offshoot, and not the future of the auto industry. After all, raw materials for running batteries are already in short supply. And internal combustion engines can also be converted to alcohol, the reserves of which are inexhaustible. After all, ethanol is produced from plant materials.

Aston Martin is not going to follow the example of other brands by reducing the volume of internal combustion engines. After all, they have exclusive cars, valuable precisely for their V8 and V12 engines. Transferring the model range to V6 means immediately losing a significant percentage of customers.
By the way, Aston Martin already has a platform for producing electric cars of four models. It even includes a crossover and a full-fledged SUV. But since customers are not interested in such cars, the timing of their appearance has been postponed by two years.
The management of the British brand boldly stated that the transition to electric cars is more of a political action. It shouldn't concern brands like Aston Martin. After all, these cars have always been considered classics in the luxury segment.
