The pace of IL-96 production is increasing

As it became known, the next fuselage of the Russian passenger airliner Il-96-300 went to the final assembly shop of the Voronezh aviation plant VASO. Also, according to the head of production of the enterprise, Mr. Romashin, the production of parts and assemblies for the following machines does not stop. It is expected that by the end of the year another IL-96 will be put into final assembly. And next year the finished equipment will be transferred to the customer.


This means that the growth rate of domestic wide-body aircraft is gradually increasing, and will increase to two units per year. This is the first time such figures have been achieved since 2012. All this time, the production volume of this equipment was not always even one copy per year.


In total, as planned, by 2030 the UAC must produce 12 aircraft of this type. True, they will presumably not be used to provide civilian passenger transportation, but will be operated in the interests of government agencies.
