Our neighbors have started selling the latest generation Hyundai Santa Fe

The start of sales of the fifth generation Hyundai Santa Fe in Kazakhstan has been announced. Prices, technical specifications and configurations are already known. Official dealers have crossovers, but they are not sold yet. After all, you first need to get rid of the cars of the previous generation.


You can inspect the cars, but you won’t be able to purchase them “here and now.” For now only pre-orders. They are asking 19,35 million tenge (4 million rubles) for the basic model. By the way, this is about 10% more expensive than the fourth generation Hyundai Santa Fe.

The basic equipment is quite rich by the standards of Russian drivers. There are all-round parking sensors, adaptive cruise control, heated seats for all and a leather interior. True, the naturalness of the latter is a big question. But they didn’t forget about airbags. There are 4 of them here.


The crossover is offered in both two- and three-row versions. Six or seven-seat options are available only in expensive trim levels. The “top” Hyundai Santa Fe costs 27 million tenge (that’s about 5,6 million rubles).

“Sale” copies will appear in the showrooms of official dealers towards the end of spring. That is, in about a month or a month and a half. The range will include only petrol crossovers – no diesel. So fans of heavy fuel engines should take a closer look at the previous generation Hyundai Santa Fe while they are still on sale.

In the basic version, crossovers are offered with a 2.5-liter naturally-aspirated engine producing 194 hp. With. The turbocharged engine has the same displacement. But its power is significantly higher - 281 “horses”.

Gearboxes – 8-automatic and seven-speed “robot”. Interestingly, the latter is offered only in conjunction with a turbocharged engine.

Externally, the fifth generation Hyundai Santa Fe has become noticeably more brutal. This was achieved due to more “chopped” body lines and large wheels with a radius from R18 to R21. At the same time, the length of the new generation crossover is 4,83 meters, which is only 45 mm longer than before.


But the interior has become noticeably more spacious due to an increase in the wheelbase. Passengers in the second and third rows (if the latter is equipped) now have more legroom. The manufacturer assures that the “gallery” is comfortable even for people with a height of 180 cm.

The volume of the luggage compartment has increased. In the five-seater version it is 725 instead of 634 liters in the fourth generation car. The opening has become noticeably wider, and the door is now electric, even on the basic version.

In general, we can soon expect new Hyundai Santa Fe in Russia through parallel imports.
