A new Russian engine with a power of 106 hp has been introduced.

A new Russian engine was presented at Motovesna. It is designed for snowmobiles, buggies, ATVs and ATVs. The engine was developed by engineers of the young but promising company Gimura.


The main advantage of the new engines is their localization percentage is 75. And this is only for prototypes. When the project goes into production, it can become 100% domestic.

The power unit is called Gimura 1000s. It is aluminum, three-cylinder, with a volume of 1 liter. The main advantage is the motor’s weight of 60 kg. And the power is impressive - 106 hp. With. in naturally aspirated version and 215 “horses” in turbocharged version.


Some parts from Lada cars were used to produce the engine. For example, the throttle body and injectors. All castings are our own, because the engine is original.

Gimura is ready to launch the engine into series. 100 million rubles have already been spent on the project. Power units will be made in Kazan. The launch of production is planned for 2025. To begin with, they are going to produce 300 engines per month.

Representatives of the Gimura company say that they pay the closest attention to the build quality and service life of their engines. Each power unit undergoes full testing at a special stand. They are not going to abandon this process even after the model is launched into production.

As for potential buyers, the new engines may be of interest to domestic manufacturers of snowmobiles and ATVs. Such, for example, as Stels and Baltmotors. They will be happy to abandon Chinese engines and install a domestic power unit. Moreover, it is much more powerful than engines from the Middle Kingdom.

The main thing is that the price of Gimura 1000s is competitive. But the manufacturer is still silent about this.


The engines are assembled using modern South Korean machines. Before going into production, each part undergoes a quality control inspection. Moreover, it is not nominal. Gimura managers understand that the success of the enterprise depends only on them. Therefore, you need to immediately recommend your motors on the positive side.

Four-stroke power units can also be used for specific water equipment. Such as jet skis and airboats.

To launch Gimura 1000s motors into series, about 500 million more rubles are needed. Now the manufacturer hopes to find investors.
