The Suzuki Vitara crossover has been restyled - a new “face” and more options

Suzuki has introduced the updated Vitara SUV. The car has changed externally, received a new central screen and more options. Sales of the model will begin this summer.


Let us remind you that the current generation Suzuki Vitara debuted in 2014. The last global update of the model took place 6 years ago.

Fans of Japanese crossovers were waiting for the new generation, but the manufacturer decided otherwise. Why change anything if sales are satisfactory? And a change in generation is disadvantageous for everyone. This will bring financial costs to the manufacturer. And buyers will have to pay more.


Therefore, in 2024 there will be another restyling. It affected the appearance, but not much - only a new bumper and radiator grille appeared. All this gives the appearance of the crossover some kind of off-road orientation. Although, if the bumper has become aggressive, then with the radiator grill everything is exactly the opposite. She became calmer and more expressionless.

Otherwise, there are no changes to the body - everything is as before. Yes, and the bumper with radiator grille can be rearranged on pre-restyling models.

But two new colors have appeared in the “top” trim levels. One of them, Sphere Blue Pearl, will only be offered in combination with a black roof. The manufacturer has also added new alloy wheels.

There are almost no external changes in the interior. The only thing that might catch your eye is the appearance of a new multimedia system screen on the dashboard. He became larger - not 7, but 9 inches. The monitor was made larger by eliminating slide switches.

Now the Suzuki Vitara on-board computer can receive updates via wireless Wi-Fi networks. However, there is one condition - a mandatory connection to the Suzuki Connect service.

There are more driver assistance systems. Those that already existed received expanded functionality. For example, obstacles appearing in front of the car will now be noticed faster. This will help the on-board computer minimize the possibility of an accident.

As for the engine range, everything is unchanged. In the basic configuration, the Suzuki Vitara will be offered with a simple 1,5 liter naturally aspirated petrol engine. Paired with it is a six-speed robotic gearbox.


In more expensive versions, the Suzuki Vitara will receive a 1.4-liter turbocharged engine. This is a “mild” hybrid, working in conjunction with a starter-generator. The gearbox in this case is a 6-speed manual transmission.

As for all-wheel drive, it is offered as an additional, and paid option.

Prices for the updated Suzuki Vitara are still unknown.
