The Degtyarev plant has been producing motorcycles for a long time. The first batch of 50 K-125s was ready in December 1946. Yes, these are copies of the German DKW RT-125, but they were originally modified for the Soviet Union. If anyone still doesn’t understand what kind of motorcycles we are talking about, let us remind you that the most popular model was “Voskhod”. True, the engine capacity is 175, not 125 cm3, but that’s thanks to the engineers. Many people are not aware, but ZiD has maintained motorcycle production. Not the way we wanted, but due to the assembly of Chinese models. But still, there is still hope for the appearance of my own bike.
Take, for example, ZiD-125. This motorcycle has been in production for a couple of years and is selling well. There are several reasons for this - it is cheap and almost Russian. How is the bike different from a typical “Chinese”? Firstly, it was created to order. It’s like they drew and designed it themselves. How true this is is unknown. But we can say with confidence that exactly the same Chinese bike does not exist. Secondly, the frame is welded at the Degtyarev Plant. Thirdly, motorcycles are even tested, and not just assembled and “used.” Fourthly... Oh, the first three points are enough!
