The universal “eighty”, which first rolled off the assembly line back in 1974, of course, if you try, you can recognize it, but at the same time the model received a number of significant transformations. And they affected not only the appearance.

The first thing that catches your eye is the updated, more modern design. The equipment received a new hood with lens optics and a radiator grille, and a modified shape of the rear wings. The cabin of this wheeled special equipment now also corresponds to the trends of the time. It offers increased comfort and is equipped with solid glass doors.
But appearance isn't the most important aspect of this update. Now almost all visible parts of the upper part of the Belarus with index 80.1 will be made from innovative SMC composite. It is created on the basis of polyester resins with the addition of fiberglass and special additives.
It is this high-tech sheet material that replaced conventional steel in the production of new models, which provides the modernized version with a number of significant advantages. First of all, parts made from SMC composite are lightweight, but at the same time demonstrate impressive strength and resistance to mechanical damage.

In addition, they are less susceptible to UV radiation, chemical reagents, high and low temperatures, and corrosion. Also among the advantages are environmental friendliness, presentable appearance, high speed of creation of parts and the possibility of recycling.
As the company clarifies, the use of such plastic panels is economically justified and will be widespread. The modernized Belarus-80.1 tractor is expected to be presented at dealers at a very competitive price.
In the future, the same update awaits the all-wheel drive model MTZ-82, and, possibly, the entire line of special equipment of the Minsk Tractor Plant.
