Preparing LUAZ for off-road
The cross-country ability of this half-forgotten Soviet SUV was legendary. And not without reason - the guys from the Combat Crew channel decided to test the qualities of the LuAZ in practice, for which they purchased an old car. Before setting off to conquer the off-road, the car was subjected to a serious inspection, repair and prepared for driving in the wilderness.

True, enthusiasts came across a copy that the previous owner had already “modernized.” The steering rack is from a foreign car, the suspension is partly borrowed from the Niva: there are quite a lot of “collective farm” cars, there are also good ideas. Something had to be restored, original components and parts had to be installed somewhere. But the main work has come to an end. The next stage is a test drive. The run-in went well: everything works.

And now - a more serious test: the car leaves the road and immediately falls into deep snow. So far everything is fine, the plug-in front end helps a lot. The car also goes through ups and downs immediately. But in some places it moves with slippage. And the guys go at random, as the eldest says - “in azimuth.” What awaits the SUV ahead, what obstacles will it overcome, and where will it find itself powerless? And here is the first incident - however, it has nothing to do with cross-country ability. This is a technical malfunction. How did they solve the problem in the middle of the forest and what lies ahead for experimenters? Watch the video!
