For the first time (or finally!), engines are equipped with Common Rail type fuel equipment, which is produced in Russia, and not Western Europe - at the Altai plant, which produces precision (i.e., high precision) products. Hydraulic compensators are also installed, reducing the noise of the units and facilitating maintenance. The exhaust gas recirculation system has been improved. The new engines use the so-called. “Lanchester mechanism”, which reduces vibration. The new units also feature a number of original components that have not been used before.

Tests are already underway: the first results indicate that the engines have the declared power and good torque. At the same time, the vibration load of components and parts has noticeably decreased, which leads to an increase in the service life of the units. MMZ's partners are interested in putting new diesel engines on the assembly line as quickly as possible. Serial production will strengthen the competitiveness of the engine plant, including on the world market.
