The new Peugeot 5008 debuted - a mid-size three-row crossover

Peugeot has officially introduced the next generation of 5008 crossovers. The model debuted in both electric and hybrid versions. The new generation is based on the more modern STLA Medium platform. Sales of crossovers will start in the fall of 2024.


Now the Peugeot 5008 will be produced on a single platform with the 3008 model. These are the realities - the general unification of the Stellantis concern, which includes the Peugeot brand. This also affected the appearance - it is now in the style of the Peugeot 3008.

Of course, taking into account the size of the crossover and its higher class, and the model is the flagship of the brand, the designers had to make a number of changes to the appearance of the new generation 5008. The front part turned out to be completely original, as were the side panels. And the roof was made almost horizontal, with a slight slope towards the stern.


The length of the crossover is 4,79 meters. The wheelbase is 2 mm, which made it possible to place three rows of seats in the cabin. As befits mid-size models, the seats in the “gallery” are more suitable for children. There are only two places.

There is also a luggage compartment, but its volume is only 259 liters. However, the car has the ability to transform. The second and third rows can be folded. This metamorphosis will increase the volume of the luggage compartment to 1 liters. This will allow you to transport even medium-sized refrigerators, not to mention washing machines.

The Peugeot 5008 will be produced in five main versions, differing in the types of power plants and power. The basic electric car will receive one engine on the front axle with 214 hp. Its power reserve is stated at around 500 km.

The “medium” version of the electric car will also be equipped with one motor located on the front axle. But its power has been increased to 231 hp. The range is also greater - 660 kilometers with a fully charged battery.

There is also an all-wheel drive version of the electric Peugeot 5008. It will be the most expensive, because a motor located on the rear axle will be added to the 231-horsepower engine. The power of the latter is 109 hp. But this version will have a power reserve of 500 km – like the basic version. But the car will be much more dynamic. You can charge the battery of a “top” electric car from 10 to 80% in just half an hour.


Hybrid versions of the Peugeot 5008 will be offered in two versions. First, the budget modification will go on sale. This is a “mild” hybrid with a turbo-petrol engine producing 136 hp.

A more productive version is promised in 2025. It will be a full-fledged hybrid with two engines – turbo-petrol and electric. Their power is 150 and 125 hp. respectively.
