Travel to the train reserve base in Lebyazhye
When a person finishes his career, he goes on a well-deserved rest. This is both sad and a source of invaluable knowledge. After all, it is he who can tell a lot of interesting things about a bygone era, which the veteran personally witnessed. Something similar is happening in the field of transport, for example, among railway locomotives. Those of them who have already honestly fulfilled their duty and are taken out of service are sent to settling tanks or a train reserve base. If we return to the human plane again, it is comparable to a nursing home. And if those who are there can tell a lot of interesting things, then the heat and electric locomotives of the past are also part of the rich history.

One of these closed bases is located in the village of Lebyazhye, near St. Petersburg. Those who managed to get there can see a number of legendary locomotives of the past: TE3, ChME3, ChS2, 2TE121, TE10, etc. They provided the Soviet country with regular cargo transportation, station maneuvers and passenger traffic in the 60-80s of the last century. Today these trains live out their lives at a reserve base. Many of them have been battered by life, but they have not lost their rare status, because in Lebyazhye there are both old models of steam locomotives and rare ASZM motor cars from 1993. Most likely, you will not be able to get there in person, but you have the opportunity to travel virtually using a video from the SsVMedia channel.
