How much “flushing” is needed to clean the engine?
How to clean the engine with flushing oil? It seems that everything is simple: you fill the crankcase, let the engine run according to the instructions for 10-15 minutes, and drain it. That's all? But many have probably noticed: the rinsing flows out black. This means that the procedure was not completed completely... And if you fill it again, it will turn out to be the same - well, almost. On the drain, the composition will also be cloudy, at least. So what should you do - how many times should you flush the power unit so that the output is clean liquid and is this enough?

This is exactly what enthusiasts from the Garage 54 channel are trying to find out. The goal is to understand whether an engine that is moderately dirty can be cleaned with 100 liters of a regular “flush” and one with a decarbonizer. To begin with, we visually record the condition of the parts under the valve cover before the process begins, so that we have something to compare with.

After four washing operations, we see that the leaking liquid has become lighter in color. Then we will resort to the method using a decarbonizer. We will repeat the same process four times, but on a different machine for comparison. But it is clearly not in favor of the first method, as can be seen from the bubbles in which the merged composition remains black. This means there is dirt inside! We continue to use the decarbonizer with flushing oil on the second machine. In the end the grease came out clean. All that remains is to compare the results and look under the valve covers of the cars. What are the results and what will we do next? Watch with us!
