Mass production of piston aircraft engines starts in Russia

Mass production of piston aircraft engines starts in Russia
It has become known that the production facilities of the capital's Rudnevo Industrial Park are launching mass production of piston aircraft engines intended to equip Russian UAVs for civilian use. The production of power units will be carried out by two Moscow companies - Aeromax and PrintPart.

At the start, the priority will be light, yet powerful engines that have no analogues in our country. At the moment, the first batch is ready, and it consists of 100 copies. In the future, the production volume of such power plants is expected to reach 5 units per year. This will completely replace the need for foreign analogues and cover the demand of domestic enterprises.

Despite their small weight and size characteristics, the new engines can lift into the air both a standard unmanned aircraft and a vertical take-off and landing vehicle weighing 15 - 50 kg. Previously, the capital's engines proved their effectiveness during tests as part of the DIAM 20 UAS.
