Sales of the updated Kia Sorento crossover have started in Kazakhstan

The South Korean company Kia announced the start of sales of restyled Kia Sorento crossovers in Kazakhstan. These cars are assembled at the plant in Kostanay. Local producers count on Russian wholesale buyers. And they are unlikely to disappoint - such crossovers are in demand in our country.


The cost of the model for the Russian market is quite affordable. It starts at 18,69 million tenge (3,8 million rubles). For the Kia Sorento in the “top” version you will have to pay 960 thousand more.

At the same time, there is no alternative to the engine of crossovers. This is a simple naturally aspirated petrol engine with a volume of 2,5 liters. Its power is 179 hp. With. It’s a good motor that has proven itself to be durable and repairable.


Of course, the power unit is not particularly dynamic. It accelerates to 100 km/h in 10,3 seconds. But paired with the engine is a full-fledged automatic transmission. The drive has no alternative – all-wheel drive.

Even in the basic configuration, the Kia Sorento is equipped with dual-zone climate control, LED optics and a rear view camera. In the “top” version, the crossover received a leather interior and a three-row layout.

In the future they promise to add a diesel modification with a volume of 2,0 liters and a petrol V6.
