Citymax 9 – a groove designed for everyone
The model was originally conceived as universal. The point is that the customer is offered many options for interior layout and more. In the future (prototypes have already been created) - the production of buses running on gas and electric traction.


At the design stage, as many as 30 versions of the interior arrangement were worked out, including a completely low-floor version. But they still refused it. The basic configuration includes a bus designed for 77 passengers with 52 standing seats. However, if you remove the 4 seats opposite the entrance, the car can accommodate 84 people.

And all this was tested and verified in practice: for example, entry of 77 passengers took 40 seconds, exit – 35. Any driver who has worked on city routes will say that this is quite fast.

Technical Highlights


The middle-class bus is equipped with a YaMZ-534 engine, developing 214 “horses”. However, in the future, Pavlovsk has set its sights on the YaMZ-535 diesel unit, which produces 222 hp. With. with a working volume of 5,1 liters. The engine is located at the rear - a similar arrangement is typical for medium and large cars. Transmission – automatic, six gears.

The hydromechanical automatic transmission, developed by the Nizhny Novgorod Motors enterprise, is already installed on GAZon and Sadko with the Next prefix. The suspension is equipped with pneumatics and disc brakes. The bus is equipped with a “kneeling” system (tilting the body towards entering/exiting passengers). PAZ guarantees three years of operation or a mileage of 200 thousand km.

Electric bus


It is called "E-Citymax 12". The car is currently equipped with Microvast batteries (the company's headquarters is in the USA, but there are factories in China and Germany). The battery capacity is 350 kWh, which provides a range of 200 km. Recharging can be “ultra-fast”, “pistol” and “night”. In terms of time, these are 90, 150 and 420 minutes.

What's in the cockpit


Everything is very, very good: specific drivers working on city lines took part in the development. So, according to their wishes, the partition separating it from the passenger compartment was moved back by 4 cm. The pedals were slightly moved forward, the steering column could “fly out” by 10 cm and tilt by 17°. The little things were also not left unattended: there are “pockets” for a bottle of one and a half rubles, a telephone, and coins.

And if the driver is one of those who like to fill his workplace with gadgets, then he can take advantage of as many as 4 USB ports and two cigarette lighters. There are no usual mirrors: instead there are video cameras.

Salon


Everything here is also top notch, starting from the doors. Initially they wanted to make one wider, the other narrower. However, during the experiments, it unexpectedly became clear: passengers, for some unknown reason, apparently instinctively, rush into the largest opening. This was taken into account - as a result, both sliding doors were made identical.

The new machine uses a “clean floor” system: all handrails are attached to the walls. This allows you to move freely around the cabin and makes it easier to service (wash).

Inside there is a large storage area that can accommodate two strollers with children. This is done on the basis that young mothers like to walk in pairs.

Of course, citizens with limited mobility are not forgotten: a retractable ramp and handrails in the cabin are at their service. The total area of ​​the “free” floor is ten “squares”, which is quite a lot when compared with its competitors. Connectors for charging phones are provided.

To update an outdated bus fleet, Citymax is the most suitable option. In accordance with the all-Russian program, regions can buy new cars using preferential loans at 3% per annum. And it’s already working: 20 buses of this model have already been delivered to Kabardino-Balkaria in March of this year. They fit perfectly into route lines of both large cities and small towns.
