The Chinese brand Changan announced the start of pre-sales of the crossover of the new UNI-Z model. For now, the car is offered only in the most expensive, hybrid version.


Despite the fact that it is not yet possible to pre-order budget modifications of the Changan UNI-Z, the cost of the crossover may pleasantly surprise Russian drivers. On the “native” market in China, the model is offered for 127,9 thousand yuan (1,62 million rubles).

For this amount we will be able to purchase a Lada Vesta SW Cross in the “average” configuration. And Changan UNI-Z is a full-fledged hybrid with the ability to move only on “pure” electricity. And the configuration of the Chinese crossover is much richer.

It’s interesting that the new model was immediately made a participant in the “war of discounts.” The previously announced price turned out to be too high. Now you can buy a car for 15% cheaper. It is possible that this is a temporary promotion. When live sales begin, Changan UNI-Z will rise in price.

The hybrid crossover is currently offered in only two versions. Their power plants are the same. It is based on an electric motor with a power of 215 hp. With. It is paired with a 1,5-liter gasoline internal combustion engine. Engine output is 98 “horses”.

The range on “pure” electricity is stated to be 115 kilometers. Of course, this is according to the optimistic and outdated NEDC cycle. In reality, the car will travel about 80 km.

In mixed mode, when both engines work in tandem, the average gasoline consumption will be 5,12 liters. If you move around using only an internal combustion engine, then in the city you will consume much more fuel - 12-15 liters.

By the way, the name of the new crossover from Changan hints at generation Z. That is, the model is positioned as modern and high-tech. This indicates its energy supply.

The length of Changan UNI-Z is 4,73 meters. This is a mid-size crossover. Externally, the car is made in the style of the UNI line, but has a more stylish and aggressive design.

The first thing that attracts attention is the massive radiator grille. As for the head optics, on the contrary, they are narrow. We haven’t forgotten about the characteristic side elements in the front bumper.

In the future, the model range will be complemented by the petrol Changan UNI-Z. It will receive a turbocharged engine with a volume of 1,5 liters and 188 hp. With.
