"Vector NEXT 7.6" conquers the regional market

Serial production of small class buses started at PAZ in 2016. The cars were created on the advanced Nizhny Novgorod platform GAZon Next. The new bus, designed to operate on short and medium-distance lines, received the factory index “320405” and its name – “Vector Next 7.6”.


The car was first demonstrated to the general public in 2015 at the COMTRANS exhibition, which was held in Moscow. Compared to outdated PAZs, the new car featured a stylish exterior, a more comfortable interior, and technical innovations.


The bus is available in three versions. The first is “Accessible Environment”: public transport with a platform designed for people with limited mobility and passengers with strollers.


The second is “Intercity” with audio equipment for excursions and a compartment for luggage. The third is “School” - with seat belts and a driver call button.

Technical review of PAZ “Vector NEXT 7.6”

The machine is designed to operate on intercity flights and is designed for 25 passenger seats. The role of the power unit is played by the Russian YaMZ-534 diesel engine, which initially worked in conjunction with an Allison automatic transmission. However, today the bus is equipped with a manual transmission from GAZ - a five-speed C40R13 gearbox. A high level of driving safety is supported by modern systems: not only the well-known ABS, but also ASR (anti-slip), EBD (brake force distribution), ESC (prevention of skids when cornering).

In the cockpit

Ergonomically, the driver's workplace is well thought out: levers, any buttons and switches can be easily reached. The ZF mechanism, together with the telescopic column, provides precise control, eliminating the need for constant steering.


Good visibility is guaranteed by the large glass area of ​​the cabin. To prevent the driver from driving the bus in a state of overfatigue, a tachograph is installed. We haven't forgotten about GLONASS.

In the cabin

Upholstered seats with reclining backs are designed for passengers of different sizes. Even a tall person can easily walk through the cabin. You can safely sit down without fear of resting your knees on the back of the chair in front. Moreover, the latter can have several options: it all depends on the wishes of the customer. For the convenience of passengers, route indicators and an electronic ticker are provided. In summer, a comfortable microclimate is provided by air conditioning (the driver has a separate one), in winter – by a heating system. Double-glazed windows (optional) are tinted, there is video surveillance (also available as an addition), USB ports for charging gadgets.


Suspension – combined. This means that in addition to springs, pneumatic cylinders (two pieces) are used, the pressure in which is maintained automatically. The relatively small base of the vehicle ensured a small turning radius of seven meters. The bus's own weight is 6,65 tons, the maximum permissible is slightly above 10 tons. The manufacturer declared the body's lifespan to be ten years.

Where are "Vector NEXT 7.6" used?

In the capital of Bashkortostan, on March 14 of this year, a ceremony was held to hand over 159 buses to State Unitary Enterprise Bashavtotrans. The cars will help relieve the increased passenger traffic on city and local lines. In January 2024, 33 Vectors were already delivered to Bashkortostan, which have proven their reliability when operating both in cities and small towns of the republic.


Also, the new “Vector NEXT 7.6” came to Kabardino-Balkaria, in the amount of 24 copies. Buses of this brand arrived in the Amur Region (Tynda) at the end of last year. Deliveries of passenger transport to the regions are carried out in accordance with the program for the development of bus fleets in the country. The purchase of new machines is carried out through special loans at the request of customers under favorable conditions for them. For a loan term of 15 years, the rate is 3% per annum. The price of “Vector” is from 5 million 355 thousand rubles.
