A new version of the Ineos Grenadier SUV has been presented - now the car is also universal

Ineos has demonstrated an updated modification of its Grenadier double-cab pickup truck. Now the car will be offered in the Quartermaster Chassis Cab version.


The key feature of the new model is that instead of a body at the back there is a simple platform. You can place whatever the client wants on it. Of course, focusing on carrying capacity.

The manufacturer believes that SUVs will be in demand among special services, such as rescuers and firefighters. New cars will also be of interest to those who like long trips in comfort. After all, you can install a camper on the cargo platform.


The powerful chassis, taken from the Ineon Grenadier Quartermaster Pickup, allows not only to load the vehicle to the maximum. The vehicle is capable of towing a trailer with a total weight of up to 3,5 tons.

The manufacturer conducted extensive marketing research. During its course, it turned out that buyers prefer two-row pickups. But at the same time, most customers are dissatisfied with the length of the cargo compartment.

Therefore, the Chassis Cab received a frame increased by 30 centimeters. And inside the double-row cabin, 5 people can accommodate along with the driver. Of course, the back seat is not particularly comfortable, but this is a problem with most frame SUVs.

Ineon is not a full-service vehicle manufacturer. It uses components and assemblies from the world's most famous brands for its SUVs. They only make the frame and body themselves. Everything else is from third-party manufacturers.

Under the hood there are only internal combustion engines. Ineos deliberately abandoned electric cars. After all, their cars must operate in the most difficult conditions, often far from civilization. It is simply impossible to charge an electric car there.

There are no hybrids in the Ineos Grenadier line either. After all, they are structurally complex, so it is unlikely that such power units will be repaired in the field.


However, it is also unlikely to be possible to repair a gasoline or diesel engine located under the hood of SUVs. There are modern turbocharged power units from BMW. Moreover, they have the same displacement – ​​3,0 liters.

The gearboxes are also not the simplest - 8-automatic transmission from the ZF brand. But the off-road potential is encouraging. Reinforced solid axles, differential locks and transfer case. Standard tires also come straight out as “mud” tires.

The Ineos Grenadier Chassis Cab is not for sale yet. You can only place a pre-order on the manufacturer's website. But approximate prices are already known - they start at 53 thousand pounds sterling (180 million rubles).
