New domestically assembled cars and motorcycles will appear in Russia – presentation on March 20

The Russian Avtotor plant is preparing to introduce new cars and motorcycles to the domestic market. This equipment will be assembled at the enterprise's facilities and offered under the SWM brand. So far we are talking about two crossovers and six motorcycles. First, cars will appear in dealer showrooms. These are G01F and G05 Pro from the SWM brand. The cars will be assembled at the Avtotor plant. Initially, a “screwdriver” method is proposed, then, perhaps, production will be gradually localized.

SWM G01F will perform in the niche of budget crossovers. The model is five-seater, the starting price for it has already been announced - from 2,6 million rubles. Under the hood of the car there is no alternative turbocharged engine with a volume of 1,5 liters. Petrol, of course, with a power of 139 hp. With.


The SWM G05 Pro will be offered in both five and seven-seater versions. This crossover is already claiming to be the most affordable model in the class. Prices are promised to be budget - from 2,62 to 2,73 million rubles. Most likely, the lower limit is for the five-seat version.

SWM G05 Pro is perfect for a large family. Or for those who simply like to travel in comfort. In the latter case, it is better to take a five-seater model - it has an impressive luggage compartment.

SWM G05 Pro promises to be economical. Under the hood it has the same engine as the “junior” G01F. This is a turbo-petrol power unit with a volume of 1,5 liters and a power of 139 hp. With.

The crossovers have no alternative gearboxes – a seven-speed “robot”. The configurations promise to be rich for its class. For example, the optics will be LED even in basic versions. There will be climate control with an air ionizer, all-round visibility, a winter package and active safety systems.


In what specific configurations potential owners are “threatened” with such wealth is not reported. Most likely, not in the basic ones, otherwise what’s the point in “top” ones?

But the most interesting and original thing for our country is the line of motorcycles. Unlike other Chinese manufacturers, the SWM bikes that will be brought to Russia are serious. They start with a cubic capacity of 500 and end at 1 cm200.

Motorcycles will also be assembled using the screwdriver method. You shouldn’t even dream about them being localized. Models with a cubic capacity of 500 cm3 and above will clearly be too expensive for our country. Although, prices for the bikes have not yet been announced, even approximate ones.
