Motor units for the Russian airliner Il-114-300 have been successfully tested

The UAC shared information that the pump-regulator, designed for fuel supply and automatic control of the TV7-117ST-01 aircraft turboprop power unit, successfully passed fire tests. This part was exposed to direct flame for 5 minutes, and during this time no fuel leaks occurred.


There were no recorded failures in the operation of the pump in the five minutes following the actual test, which means the successful completion of this testing stage. Thus, during these activities, the reliability and safety of this component was confirmed even at critically high temperatures.


Let us remind you that the new Russian aircraft engine of the TV7-117 family, developed by the St. Petersburg enterprise ODK-Klimov, is intended for the Il-114-300 passenger aircraft. In turn, this regional airliner with a passenger capacity of up to 68 people began testing last week.
