Risk is a noble cause: flying a homemade airplane
Flying a homemade airplane is always a risk. There are no long-term tests, blowing in a wind tunnel, or other testing. Everything rests only on the strict calculations of the designer himself and his experience. And now, finally, the long months of work are behind us and the “brainchild” is rolled out into the field, onto an improvised airfield. The first takeoff is the most exciting and dangerous. But confidence in the correctness of the calculations and an uncontrollable desire to fly overcome fear.

A short run-up, take-off - the car is already in the air. The flight is proceeding “as usual” in spite of critics and other skeptics who insisted that the device would never take to the skies. What is its creator experiencing at this moment? Satisfaction from the work done? Or maybe happiness from the fact that a dream has come true? Let this remain a personal secret of the designer and pilot.

Meanwhile, the flight continues: the car makes several passes over the runway at low altitude. And then comes perhaps the most crucial moment – landing. The pilot slowly boards it and is eagerly awaited. Ahead is a story about the flight, the advantages and disadvantages of a homemade aircraft. And there is something to report on: takeoff, the behavior of the car in the air, the operation of the wing mechanisms, landing. In the end, this is the designer’s personal opinion about his brainchild. You will hear and see all this by watching the video on the “World of Aviation” channel!
