Making an all-terrain vehicle on tracks out of an abandoned and “half-destroyed” car can easily be called a feat. Especially if you add that the cost of reworking is ridiculous and amounted (in this case) to 10 thousand rubles. How this “miracle of transformation” happened can be seen in the video on the AcademeG channel. The role of the experimental “rabbit” was played by a serial used Renault Twingo car.
The main problem is the modification of the transmission: you need to somehow “attach” the tracks to the passenger car. Moreover, do this in such a way that a city car turns into a compact all-terrain vehicle. Therefore, the author of the video first deals with the drive sprocket - torque will be transmitted to it through the front axle, which is driven here (from the standard engine). To do this, its diameter should be approximately 2 times smaller than that of a “standard” wheel.
But what’s so special about creating another model of high-cross-country vehicle? Many people make all-terrain vehicles using old cars and tractors. What's the "trick"? The idea is familiar to many Russian do-it-yourselfers: “use what’s at hand and don’t look for something else.” The goal is to reduce the financial costs of construction to a minimum. Whether they succeeded or not, only real tests will show. Well, the car is already ready and waiting for the time to rush into the snowdrifts. Did the all-terrain vehicle work out or not? Maybe you will do something similar - watch the video!
A new KAMAZ has been presented - it is capable of working in any, even the most difficult conditions
Despite the 6x4 wheel arrangement, the car has increased cross-country ability. It is also protected from falling objects and equipped with a sleeping bag....
