The timing of the appearance of budget Solaris models in Russian car dealerships has become known

The press service of the AGR Automotive Group spoke about when Russian drivers will again be able to purchase budget models from the South Korean brands Kia and Hyundai. The production of cars has already begun - in the next 1-2 weeks the cars will appear in the showrooms of official dealers.


The cars will be offered under the Solaris brand. The cars are assembled where they used to be - at the former Hyundai Motor plant in St. Petersburg. AGR Automotive Group has restarted production. The debut of the Solaris brand on the Russian market will be grandiose - four models will go on sale at once.

The first in the Solaris HS line. This is a complete copy of the Hyundai Solaris. It was she who served as the inspiration for the creators of the new brand. The only difference between Solaris HS and its South Korean counterpart is different nameplates.


Otherwise everything is unchanged. Under the hood there will be two options for petrol engines – 1,4 or 1,6 liters. Power – 100 or 123 hp. With. respectively.

The second car in the line is Solaris HC. It has the best chance of becoming a bestseller. After all, the model is a complete copy of the Hyundai Creta, and this crossover has repeatedly broken sales records in Russia. Naturally, the nameplates are also different, but this does not change the essence.

Under the hood of the Russian version of the Hyundai Creta are the same power units that are well known to our drivers. In basic configurations, Solaris HC crossovers will receive naturally aspirated gasoline engines with a volume of 1,6 liters and 123 liters. With. In more expensive versions, the car will be equipped with a 2,0 liter engine. The power of this naturally aspirated engine is 149 horsepower.

Gearboxes will be offered in two versions - manual or automatic. All gearboxes are six-speed.

Fans of sporty looks will even be offered the Solaris HC N-Line. This modification will receive a stylish aerodynamic body kit.

There will also be models from Kia. They also decided to promote them under a single Solaris brand. The most budget-friendly one will be the sedan, known in Russia as the Kia Rio. It is now called Solaris KRS.


This model is positioned as more prestigious than the HS (formerly Hyundai Solaris). The engine under the hood of the car will have no alternative - 1,6 liters per 123 hp. With. The gearbox is also without options - a six-speed automatic transmission.

The second car is the former Kia Rio X. It will be offered as the Solaris KRX. The engine and gearbox of this car are similar to the HS model. The same atmospheric 1,6 liters per 123 liters. With. paired with a 6-automatic transmission.

Prices have not yet been officially announced. But according to experts, they will not exceed 1,8 million rubles for the most expensive Solaris model in the “top” version.
