A new version of the GAC Trumpchi M8 minivan has been presented - Grandmaster Pioneer Edition

GAC has announced the start of sales of a special modification of its luxury minivan Trumpchi M8. This is a limited edition Grandmaster Pioneer Edition. All cars will be equipped with turbo-petrol engines with a power of 251 hp. With. and automatic eight-speed transmissions.


The main feature of the modification is the new media system. It does not depend on foreign manufacturers at all - the operating system there is from Huawei. This is HarmonyOS - the Chinese analogue of Android. By the way, the limited version of the GAC Trumpchi M8 became the first minivan in China to receive an on-board computer running this operating system.

Despite the fact that the GAC Trumpchi M8 is considered a business-class car, it turned out to be quite budget-friendly. For example, Toyota Alphard in China is offered from 115 thousand dollars (10,66 million rubles). The Chinese minivan in the Grandmaster Pioneer Edition can already be purchased at official dealerships for almost three times cheaper. For the car they are asking only 41,1 thousand dollars (3,81 million rubles).


Unfortunately, these are Chinese prices. In Russia, for such a model, and in conventional configurations, they ask from 6,99 million rubles.

The car looks luxurious, but just a few years ago the very phrase “Chinese minivan” caused a condescending smile in our country. GAC Trumpchi M8 turned out to be even larger than the Toyota Alphard. The length of the Chinese car is 5,21 meters. For the Japanese model, this parameter is inferior by more than 20 centimeters.

By the way, it was the Toyota Alphard that inspired Chinese designers and engineers. This can be seen both in general proportions and in appearance. For example, the massive radiator grilles in both minivans are almost identical.

Thanks to multimedia running the HarmonyOS operating system, more than 50 applications are already stored in the device’s memory. If necessary, which is unlikely, their number can be increased by downloading new programs from the Huawei App Market.


Under the hood of the GAC Trumpchi M8 is a two-liter turbo-petrol engine with a power of 251 hp. With. For a minivan, this power unit is sufficient, although the car is not able to give such a motor a sporty character.

But the most important thing is the interior. It can accommodate up to seven people. Moreover, the main emphasis is on second-row passengers. There are the most luxurious chairs, with a lot of adjustments, massage, ventilation and heating.

In Russia, the popularity of the GAC Trumpchi M8 is not in danger - these minivans are too expensive here.
