Russian hydrogen-powered pleasure boat is preparing for sea trials

The degree of readiness of project 00393 is easy to imagine - the first sea trials of a watercraft with a hydrogen engine are planned for May of this year. We are talking about a pleasure boat with a passenger capacity of up to 10 people. The vessel will be serviced by a team of two specialists.


The foundation board for the new boat was installed at the Zelenodolsk plant on February 28 last year, which indicates a fairly high production intensity. The manufacturer meets the deadlines specified in the contract. So we can say with a high degree of confidence that the customer will receive a new water transport with an environmentally friendly hydrogen-type engine on time, this year (date not specified).

"ECOBALT" will be capable of developing a cruising speed of about 10-12 knots (18-22 km/h). It is planned to use stained glass type glass for glazing the river boat. The installation will be carried out at a certain angle, which will seriously improve the view for tourists. Hydrogen cells will be located under the stern, and thanks to them the boat will be able to make voyages lasting up to 5 hours.
