Russia plans to release a new passenger aircraft under the Aurus brand

Information has emerged that a decision has been made to create a new specialized business jet in our country, which is planned to be produced under the Aurus brand. True, it’s not exactly new. It will be based on a decent amount of developments on the Tu-324 regional aircraft, work on which began back in 1996.


Details about the new project were shared in the publication "BUSINESS Online", where, among other things, the main responsible “person” was revealed - this is Gazprom Tech. The company was created last year and has been the owner of Aurus-Aero since the fall. So in the future, it seems that the brand’s transport line will be replenished with an aircraft.


The choice in favor of the Tu-324 was not accidental. Firstly, as we have already said, this is a rather impressive amount of developments, and secondly, it is a suitable size. The project implied three modifications - two passenger ones, with a capacity of 52 to 72 people and a flight range of 2500 to 3500 km, respectively. The difference was not only in the length of the fuselage, but also in the power of the power plant.

There was also a VIP version with a business class cabin. It was designed for a passenger capacity of up to 19 people, and a maximum flight range of 7 km.
