Russian motorcyclists have long been accustomed to the fact that most new bikes on our market are Chinese. They are distinguished by small-capacity single-cylinder engines and a budget price. But companies from the Middle Kingdom have long mastered more serious technology. It’s just not in demand here – it’s too expensive. The quality there is higher than that of budget motorcycles. But alas, the cost is not encouraging. If there was an opportunity, domestic bikers would take new Japanese equipment. As it is, the used market prevails; there is no particular place for Chinese expensive motorcycles there.
Take, for example, the CJ Adept 700 Solo. An interesting model, similar to a custom from the Soviet “Ural” or “Dnepr”. Nowadays these are just in fashion - cafe racers. But the manufacturer, the Chinese company Chang Jiang, has a lot in common with the Irbit Motorcycle Plant. They started by assembling copies of the M-72 - military bikes with sidecars. The model gradually evolved and was refined. The result was some kind of British Triumph. Despite the abandonment of the boxer engine and cardan, the motorcycle is still assembled on the basis of a “sidecar” frame, so its weight is under 300 kg. However, the low center of gravity makes the CJ Adept 700 Solo easy to operate. And they will talk about the model on the “AUTO PLUS” channel.
