Off-road conqueror – special vehicle ZiD “Farmer”

Unique equipment at the plant named after V.A. Degtyarev was not released for long - only nine years. The last all-terrain vehicle rolled off the assembly line in 2003. A quick glance at the wheels of the tricycle was enough to understand: this vehicle is for marshy areas and rocky slopes, snow-covered fields and sand dunes. In a word, it will pass everywhere, although not quickly. The maximum that could be squeezed out of the “Farmer” was 50 km/h, and when fully loaded, it was simply impossible to “fire up” it faster than 30 km/h.


By the way, the ZiD “Farmer” 200 could easily “pull” a trailer weighing 270 kg - that is, it has a towbar at the back. This means that on a long off-road trip you could take everything you needed. But the car was still not designed for exciting “rides” - the tricycle coped well with the “hardships and hardships” of the countryside, becoming an excellent assistant to its residents.
