-52 Celsius - start up and go!
It sounds a little extreme, but for some it is a daily routine. At such a temperature that there is no point in starting the engine, the oil in the transmission takes a crystalline form and the gears cannot be turned. But the residents of Yakutia know what to do. You need a tarp and a heat gun! Well, for such conditions it’s a suitable car. And as practice shows, the good old UAZ is best suited for this role.

We carefully wrap the lower part of the SUV with a tarpaulin, seal it to the ground with snow and slide in the heater. Now we're just waiting. You will immediately understand when the machine reaches “readiness” - you will not confuse the clouds of steam rising from the metal with anything. However, before turning the starter, it is better to see if fluidity has returned to the engine oil? If everything is ok, we take the battery out of the house - this is the only place where you should leave it when the car is parked.

The moment of truth - and the engine started making noise! Well, while the coolant is coming to its senses, you can brush the snow off the windshield, hood and roof with a broom, pump up the tires and so on. Everything will take a couple of hours, no less. Now you can go. But the question is: won’t the UAZ freeze while driving? Still, the temperature is extraordinary. Residents of the Russian Far North on their channel Kiun B decided to share everything with us in detail - how it really is.
