Ram Trucks was spun off from Dodge in 2011. Ram pickups are former Dodge Rams of various modifications
During the recall campaign, all pickup trucks will be checked and fixed free of charge.
The problem arose in cars equipped with a powerful Cummins diesel engine with a displacement of 6,7 liters. Due to engineering error, the intake heater relay may short circuit, causing a fire.
A number of Ram pickups produced in a certain period of 2021 fall under the recall campaign:

Interestingly, there has not been a single official case of defective Ram pickups catching fire, and this is information provided by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. But the manufacturer himself announced seven cases of fires in Ram pickups. No one was hurt, and no accidents occurred.
When exactly to contact dealerships for repairs, representatives of Ram Trucks have not yet reported. Now engineers are only developing a solution to this problem. As soon as the issue is resolved, all owners of defective vehicles will receive a notification on where and when pickups can be returned for repair.
The repair will be done free of charge. Whether the owners will receive any compensation is not yet known.
It is recommended not to park cars in garages, in close proximity to buildings and other vehicles.
Already, pickup truck owners are encouraged to contact Ram Trucks at 800-853-1403 if they notice any problems.
You can check if a car is eligible for a recall campaign on the official NHTSA website. To do this, you need to drive a 17-digit VIN code into the appropriate column. If nothing appears, then your car does not have factory defects. For Ram pickups, the NHTSA recall campaign number is 21V798.

I am glad that the manufacturer knows how to admit mistakes and is ready to spend money on correction. Although, perhaps, the situation is banal - Ram Trucks is afraid of multi-million lawsuits from the victims.
