They even flew to neighboring cities to visit, especially since it was relatively inexpensive and fast. And you can tell as much as you like that small aviation was developed due to a lack of passenger cars. Nowadays it is in very short supply, especially in remote regions where good roads are rare. And weather conditions often make it difficult to quickly reach your destination.


Turbojet passenger airliners are one of the iconic symbols of the Soviet Union. The winged cars were distinguished not only by their spaciousness - they were somehow swift even in appearance. By the way, the first passenger turbojet airliner, the Tu-104, was created on the basis of a military model. But the plane received a number of shortcomings. Nothing strange - the chassis was intended for completely different purposes. Therefore, designers continued to develop new models. The hero of the SkyShips channel video, Tu-154 is the third generation of Soviet turbojet passenger airliners. We created the model almost from scratch, without using military vehicles as a basis. It seems that this made the Tu-154 the most popular aircraft in its class. By the way, they were produced until 2013 inclusive. And now the model continues to be used. Although, there are few Soviet beauties left...
