Hennessey unveils first Venom F5
Hennessey has finally delivered the first Venom F5 to a customer. Unveiled as a surreal concept four years ago, the hypercar debuted as a road-going model in December 2020. Now, the Texas-based company has sent car number 1 to anyone who paid at least the starting price of $2,1 million.

The Venom F5 lineup includes 23 additional vehicles that differ from the production version in Mojave Gold trim. In order to buy a car in this design, you need not only a lot of money, but also courage - there are no airbags in the car. Because of this, the road-legal status of the hypercar is highly questionable. It can only be officially registered in the United States as a show car. In this regard, the owner of the "iron beast" will be able to legally drive it no more than 2500 miles a year - just over 4000 km.

All special edition cars released have long since sold out, and manufacturer Hennessey has promised that the Venom F5 will break the 300 mph barrier and hit another 500 km/h record. Earlier this year, it managed to hit "only" 200 mph during wind testing. Prior to their launch, the 6,6-liter twin-turbo V8 engine was tuned to 900 hp. With. power. This is about half of its real capabilities - the engine produces 1817 hp without an established limit. With.

Hennessey plans to seriously compete with such popular hypercars as the Bugatti Chiron Super Sport 300+ and Koenigsegg Agera RS. Before that happens, a new Venom F5 sample will be unveiled. This mid-engined monster will be shown in early December 2021 at a trade show in Los Angeles. It will receive an exclusive Lausanne Silver finish in silver with red, white and blue accents.

The Venom F5 is definitely not for inexperienced drivers, given that all 1817 hp. power and 1617 Nm of torque are transmitted exclusively to the rear wheels. Acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h takes the car just 2,6 seconds, and from 0 to 200 km/h - no more than 4,7 seconds. The hypercar spends only 400 seconds to accelerate from standstill to 15,5 km/h. It is possible that the company will be able to set an absolute speed record among production cars. It remains only to follow the news and hope that this plan will be implemented.
