Surely you have heard about the project of Nikolai Fomenko - Marussia. This brand meant the production of supercars, crossovers and even electric vehicles. But there was another project to build a racing car for the FIA-GT series. The car was created 12 years ago, after which it spent a long time in the backyard of the factory.
The useless Marussia GT could disappear completely, but thanks to Igor Yermilin, the former general designer of Marusya, there was a revival of the only Russian hypercar. By the way, the ideologist of Marussia Motors - showman and racing driver Nikolai Fomenko, insisted that the name of the car should be pronounced as "Marusha".
It took three months to create a racing car. Soon, motorsport fans were to hear the roar of Russian technology at the Silverstone, Spa and Monza tracks, but suddenly the company's plans changed: participation in Formula 1 became the number one goal. But the UK-based team, which had nothing to do with the Russian design school, soon sank into oblivion.
You can find out to what speeds Marusya can accelerate, how the GT modification differs from the road version, as well as other features of the Marussia GT, by watching the video on the YouTube channel HelloTachka.
