Judging by the photo, a comfortable truck: the driver's seat turns 180 °, the view is excellent. Where is he from? In the USSR, most trucks were of Soviet origin. These are ZILs, KAMAZs, Urals and, of course, BelAZs. Among the foreigners occasionally came across West German specimens, more often - the Czechoslovak Tatra and other representatives of the socialist camp along the lines of the CMEA. And in the photo - a rare "miracle" of that time - the Hungarian Dumper DR50D.
In fact, this product cannot even be called a car: it was produced at a tractor factory. However, the fact is that the car had a number of advantages, which the author of the video on the Autofact Mountain channel talks about. Let it have a small carrying capacity, but the dump truck-tractor had high maneuverability and easily turned around there (a radius of 5,6 m, like the GAZ-24, Volga), where KAMAZ trucks had to move back and forth several times.
In appearance, the Dumper resembled a miniature BelAZ. The first models of the Hungarian car were supplied without a cab - it was attached later. The maximum speed of the equipment reached as much as 35 km / h. Not enough for a car, but normal for a tractor. Yes, and the consumption is acceptable even in modern times - 30 liters per "hundred". But the machine, with its own weight of 5 tons, could pull a load of 5 tons. At that time, it was a rather successful, inexpensive and unpretentious design. However, Soviet drivers were very wary of Dumper, and there were good reasons for that!
