GAZ-63: four-wheel drive motorhome from 1968
Autumn has come, and the guys from the Combat Crew YouTube channel decided to be puzzled by the next project. This time, the guys chose a four-wheel drive Soviet truck GAZ-63A, and in the performance of a motorhome! It turned out that the bloggers needed the car for an expedition to a certain mountain inhabited by "evil spirits".

Why didn't they re-equip the "shishiga" or ZIL-157? The answer is on the surface: in the GAZ-66, the cab is located above the engine, and in the case of the 63rd, the engine, as expected, is installed in front. In the event of a repair, this arrangement will provide an undeniable advantage. From the point of view of comfort, as far as this term is applicable to Soviet trucks, too. As far as the "cleaver" is concerned, it loses to the 63rd in maneuverability.

GAZ-63A is the first all-wheel drive truck of the USSR and here are its technical characteristics:

✅ Tit engine - 6-cylinder, in-line
✅ Working volume - 3.5 liters
✅ Power - 70 horses, at 2800 rpm
✅ Dimensions (L.W.H.) - 5500 mm, 2200 mm, 2250 mm
✅ Curb weight - 3200 kilograms
✅ Load capacity - 2 tons

But the most curious, in this particular car, is hidden not under the hood, but in the back! The camper van is equipped with a double bed, gas heater, washbasin and drawers for kitchen utensils and clothes! You can find out how the truck was resuscitated, what the GAZ-63 can do off-road, and how the project will develop by watching the video.
