Of particular interest are the limited editions of the Alfa Romeo Giulia: GTA and GTAm. They are deprived of everything that prevents a quick set of high speeds - even the rear seats went under the "knife", due to which the company's engineers managed to reduce the weight of the cars. Instead, there were reinforced seat belts and new glasses manufactured by Lexan. Special models are distinguished by higher engine power - from 503 hp. in the standard version, it already increases to 553 hp.
Unfortunately for us, but not for the manufacturer, the upgraded GTA and GTAm sedans quickly sold out. Alfa Romeo only produced 500 of these cars, with the latest model being rarer. Not many people have been able to study the machines and do instrumental tests to confirm or deny their conformity with the declared factory specifications. However, if you still want to know what Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio beefed up sedans are capable of, there's a chance right now.
The French edition of Motorsport Magazine managed to get a fairly rare car for testing, namely the version of GTAm. The test run took place on an overcast day, the road surface was colder than usual: this circumstance could slightly affect the test results. On the other hand, if there is an error, then it can be ignored, since we are considering a car for everyday use, and not for a race track.

Despite not the most favorable weather conditions, the improved Alfa Romeo Giulia sedan in the GTAm modification still accelerated from 0 to 100 km / h in less than four seconds. The car reached speeds of 250 km / h 20 seconds after the start. These figures are quite comparable to the more famous BMW M3 Competition, albeit with its rear-wheel drive version. There is reason to believe that under more optimal conditions, the car could have performed somewhat better. It can even meet the manufacturer's claimed acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 3,6 seconds.
Earlier we already reported about the regular version of the Alfa Romeo Giulia sedan, which may soon become fully electric car.
