In the 60s and 70s of the last century, the popularity of huge cars in America just went through the roof. Even the expression "American-sized car" appeared, that is, huge. But these were not only the famous muscle cars. There was another type of passenger transport with huge parameters. It was for them that such cars were nicknamed "land yachts". Vinyl-covered roofs and stylish bumpers sparkling nickel in the sun were considered their hallmark. They also had one more distinguishing feature - the white sidewalls of all four tires.


Of course, cars of this size were not uncommon in government motorcades in many countries. Especially, such great powers as the USA and the Soviet Union. These were limousines, often with armored bodies, used by dignitaries for official occasions. No, today we are not talking about them at all.
