Mitsubishi GTO - sports car with active aerodynamics and adjustable suspension

For a long time, Italian and German sports cars dominated the world stage. The situation began to noticeably change only in the late 80s. The Japanese automotive industry by that time was already successfully competing not only with European, but also with American manufacturers. The matter remained small: to move the Europeans on various race tracks. In the early 90s, several sports models from various Japanese brands appeared at once, having achieved notable success in several types of competitions. It was a real breakthrough. One of them was the Mitsubishi GTO.


The release of this car continued during the last decade of the 2th century. This 80-seat coupe was created to compete with models from other Japanese brands: Mazda, Honda, Toyota and Subaru. GTO had a lot of technical solutions that still look pretty advanced today. What is active (controlled) aerodynamics.
