MG 7 from the Black Label series shown to the public

MG introduced a premium sedan with a sporty character. The car features a stylish design that will be typical for the entire Black Label series. Visual differences lie in the choice of color palette - brand nameplates and trim are made in black.


Frameless doors are used in the design of the car. The presence of five-spoke alloy wheels and powerful red calipers clearly hints at the outstanding technical characteristics of the MG 7. This is evidenced by the low ground clearance (140 mm) and the presence of a “lip” at the bottom of the bumper.


By the way, the design of the grille also adds swiftness to the appearance of the new sedan. It is made in the form of a narrow strip, and stretches from side to side exactly under the head optics of the car. This design decision largely determines the positioning of the model as a youth sports car. In addition to everything, the rear overhang of the car is made in the form of a pseudo-hatchback and has a spaced dual exhaust.


To match the sporty exterior and interior - it impresses with its ergonomics. A multimedia screen with a diagonal of 33 inches stretched on the dashboard, and a pre-installed BOSE speaker system with 14 speakers will make listening to tracks comfortable at any speed.

An additional advantage of the top-end configuration will be the presence of a panoramic roof with an opening function. Quite expectedly, the car has a sports steering wheel and front bucket seats with pronounced lateral support.

The sedan will be equipped with the latest developments in intelligent driver support systems, including all-round visibility and a parking assistant.


The most interesting thing is under the hood. It has a petrol turbo engine. Depending on the configuration, its parameters vary:

✅ 405 VTGI Trophy, 2.0 l - power 257 hp s., torque 405 N * m
✅ 300 VTGI, 1.5 l - power 185 hp with., torque 300 N * m

In the first case, a 9-speed automatic ZF is installed. A 7-speed DCT is paired with a weaker motor.

The cost of the models has not yet been disclosed. It was stated that the first serial copies will arrive in Chinese car dealerships by the end of the calendar year. Export deliveries, including to the Russian market, are quite expected.
