For a long time, fans of classic Muscle Cars from the USA did not believe that Dodge would start producing cars without traditional internal combustion engines. As it turned out, in vain - the trend of switching to electricity was outlined immediately after the purchase of the brand by the Stellantis concern. And now even such a legend as the Charger will soon lose its powerful gasoline engine.
The designers made the Dodge prototype in the spirit of the 1968 model of the same name. Of course, the resemblance is not complete, there are no those chopped forms, but family features are definitely visible.

Apart from the look, the electric concept has nothing in common with the old Charger. Is that a mad character, although the manufacturer has not yet disclosed the technical features of its new model.
Dodge only deigned to talk about the fact that the car will become all-wheel drive and “sound” it will be no worse than a petrol Charger with a V8. To do this, the electric car will receive an exhaust system simulator configured in tandem with the accelerator pedal.
While Dodge is not saying the concept is destined to make it to production, hints are that it will. Moreover, the Charger Daytona SRT Concept EV has already aroused genuine interest among potential customers.
