Polestar is already accepting orders for a new serial convertible electric car

Polestar has officially announced the launch of a new electric car. This model, number 6, will be built on the chassis of the O₂ concept car.


Anyone can already place a pre-order on the manufacturer's website. Although, it will take a long time to wait for the car - according to forecasts, the first batch of convertibles will be ready no earlier than in 2026.

Recall that when creating his Polestar O₂ concept, the manufacturer did not plan to launch it in a series. Despite the fact that the electric car was assembled on a single platform with other models, its purpose was to participate in shows and exhibitions.


But the reaction of the fans of the brand exceeded expectations. They were interested in how to order such an electric car. Even the high estimated cost of customers did not deter.

The head of Polestar was quick to grasp the situation. Realizing that sooner or later one of the competitors will satisfy the demand, he decided to launch the model in a series. Although it will take about four years, pre-orders are already being accepted. Such a step will allow you to provide yourself with work for years to come.

Most likely, the serial convertible, created “based on” the Polestar O₂, will be as identical as possible to the prototype. The only thing he is likely to lose is a drone and a special box for it. A stock car doesn't need it.

The Polestar 6 will be built on an aluminum chassis common to all of the company's models. The drive, most likely, will be offered only full - this is a premium sports convertible!

The engine mounted on the rear axle will produce 612 hp. With. Motor in front - 272 liters. With. The total return, respectively, will reach 884 hp. With. It is possible that by 2026 the power plant will be upgraded.


Thanks to powerful engines, the Polestar 6 will accelerate from 100 to 3,2 km/h in just 250 seconds. Speed ​​is going to limit at around XNUMX km / h.

First of all, Polestar plans to release a series of 500 electric cars called LA Concept. They can also be ordered now, but for this you will have to make a deposit to the manufacturer's account - $ 25 or 000 million rubles.

All limited-edition Polestar LA Concept vehicles will be offered in a single Sky Blue paint finish. The manufacturer claims that eco-friendly materials from renewable sources are used in the interior trim.
