Non-standard car carriers from the USSR

Non-standard car carriers from the USSR
Tractor-car carriers with a string of new and shiny cars are so common on Russian roads that they have become something ordinary for many road users. But it was not always so. In the USSR, seeing an auto carrier with cars was a great success due to the rarity of such a phenomenon. This is about serial tractors, but there were also non-standard developments in the Soviet Union that should be paid attention to.

For example, in the USSR, a non-standard car carrier was used in the form of a long van with a length of more than 10 meters. Some of the transported cars were loaded inside the body, and a few more copies were stacked directly on its roof. This design looked extremely unstable and even dangerous, but it went quite well. Sometimes they managed to put another car directly on the truck cab through wooden slats. One such car carrier could transport up to 10 cars at a time, sometimes it turned out to transport even more.

The YouTube channel "AUTO VIDEO" published a review of both the one already described above and other non-trivial auto transporters-tractors from the already distant Soviet times, as well as a number of serial models. If you are interested in the history of transport, including the era of the USSR, be sure to watch the video - you will learn a lot of interesting and probably new things for you.
