Between the two world wars, the American automobile industry experienced a remarkable boom. Several brands appeared at once, leaving a huge mark on world transport history. After all, any person familiar with cars simply cannot but know about Henry Ford. But there were other equally well-known manufacturers in America in the 20s and 30s. If, for example, Ford really wanted to make a car for the poor, then Harry S. Stutz, on the contrary, set his sights on the production of luxury cars. At first, these were fast, as they would now be called, sports cars. Since 1924, the company has clearly defined its main direction - the production of luxury cars for local celebrities and the rich. All in all, Stutz Motor Car Company has become a vehicle supplier for those whose life is good.
After repeated management changes (including the departure of Stutz himself), the company, surprisingly retaining its name all this time, began to produce several licensed luxury car models. Over the decades, they have repeatedly won various medals in sports competitions. Moreover, it was Stutz who set the speed record for a production car of that time - 171,44 km / h. Despite such a promising start, the company tried to engage in stock manipulation for the second time. This led to the bankruptcy of the Stutz Motor Car Company in 1937. Even the fact that her assets remained above her debt didn't help. And yet the company left a legacy, which is discussed in the video from the Autotrends channel.
