From June 20, fines for traffic violations will be written off automatically - the opinion of drivers about the innovation
New legislation came into force today, significantly changing the procedure for collecting fines. Now this work will be performed not by bailiffs, but by an artificial intelligence system. It was tested and it proved to be reliable and correct - errors and inaccuracies are practically excluded.

Drivers will be able to contest fines in the first 10 days. And within 20 days it is possible to pay for them with a 50% discount, only gross violations do not fall under this clause.

When, after 60 days, the driver has not paid the fine, artificial intelligence will automatically write it off from one of the accounts. It is planned to reduce the percentage of unpaid fines at times. The system will only work in cases where the personal presence of bailiffs is not required. In all other situations, the order will remain the same. Let's see what drivers think about the changes in the law:

And if the computer writes off the fine not from the one who violated? It is one thing to test a program in greenhouse conditions, and another thing is to work in reality. I wonder how notifications of collection will come. And now it turns out that this is being done “on the sly” and complaints about scammers will pour into banks, etc.

– expressed the point of view of Boris Mikhailov

Against such systems in principle. Now, without my knowledge, they will withdraw money for fines, and then they will come up with other options. The state could punish hard-core non-payers or gross violators more severely, then no one would forget to pay fines.

- said the user "Iron Condor"

Does it exist in other countries? It’s just that if artificial intelligence that writes off fines appeared only in our country, why haven’t more technologically developed countries introduced it? Most likely, abroad, this is regarded as an invasion of privacy.

– Vladimir Valentinovich shared his opinion

If a person has not paid for 60 days, let them take it off. Provided that the notice was handed over and the driver did not dispute anything in due time, then he agrees with the penalty. The paper will clearly indicate that the money will be written off automatically, no rights are violated.

- Nikolai Vlasov commented

Time will tell whether this is a good system or another failed initiative with a crooked implementation. The idea is not bad, it will unload the service of bailiffs, and rein in malicious non-payers. Personally, I have 20 or 2 fines in 3 years, this will not affect me. And those who do not follow the rules should understand that they have to pay for it.

- summed up Timofey Leontievich.
