Tractor K-710 - an abandoned Soviet "monster"
Everyone who is at least a little familiar with Soviet agricultural machinery has heard about the powerful Kirovets - K-700, K-701, K-702. However, few people know that there have been attempts to build a model that is superior in power to the legendary tractor. They even released a small batch of "monsters".

The giant K-700 appeared back in 1961 and over time the question arose of its modernization, improving the traction characteristics of the equipment. And this despite the fact that the "first-born" was clearly a success. Nevertheless, as the author of the video on the BIBIP channel says, the “laurels” of the K-700 haunted the designers who were striving for perfection. As a result, they began to develop a new version of the tractor, which received the index 710 (the second name is Ilyich). The implementation of the project and its implementation dragged on for almost 10 years. And only in 1978 a prototype appeared.

What technical parameters he had, in which he surpassed his predecessor, you can learn about everything from the video. Then it was obvious - "Ilyich" - another success: the new tractor is 2 times more powerful and productive than the old one. But no! There were a large number of reasons that did not allow the giant to be launched into large-scale production. The author of the material tells about unexpected turns in the fate of the K-710 tractor; he also assures that there are no surviving copies of the “modernized” K-700 left. But maybe you saw him somewhere?
