Formula 1: Red Bull's triumph at the Azerbaijan Grand Prix

Formula 1: Red Bull's triumph at the Azerbaijan Grand Prix
The reigning world champion scored a landslide victory, and his team-mate, Mexican "Checo" Perez, supported the team's success by finishing second. From the start, Sergio managed to lead the race, beating Ferrari's pole positioner Charles Lecter in the first corner. During the virtual safety car, Cheko did not change tires, which is why, after his own pit stop, he first lost the lead to Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc, and later, on a team from the pits, he was forced to let his partner pass ...

To the great dismay of the large army of fans, both pilots of the Ferrari team retired for technical reasons. Carlos Sainz's brakes failed, and Charles Leclerc, who was confidently leading the race, burned out his engine. Moreover, such a nuisance, this season, happens to the Monegasque for the second time! At the Spanish Grand Prix, Charles was just as confident in the lead, but eventually retired due to engine failure. It looks like the Italian team's fans' dreams of winning the 2022 championship are not going to come true - the gap to the no-error team Red Bull Racing is already too far behind!

Mercedes-Benz team pilot George Russell finished third, confidently ahead of his partner, eight-time world champion Lewis Hamilton. Alpine driver Pierre Gasly finished fifth, and four-time world champion Sebastian Vettel finished sixth. Despite the error and the turnaround, Seb had a good race and got ahead of his old rival Fernando Alonso. The Spanish racer proves by his own example that even at forty you can be faster than twenty! Fernando confidently overtook his team-mate Esteban Ocon, who rounded out the top ten. The McLaren team finished eighth and ninth. And in an unusual manner, Daniel Riccardo for once managed to get ahead of the young Lando Norris.

After the finish of the Azerbaijan Grand Prix, Max Verstappen has 150 points in his piggy bank, and he has significantly strengthened his leadership in the personal standings of the World Championship. After the retirement of Charles Leclerc, Sergio Perez came in second in the championship with 129 points. And the unlucky Scuderia Ferrari driver dropped to third with 116 points. In the Constructors' Championship, the advantage of Red Bull Racing over Scuderia Ferrari has reached 80 points! In fact, with such a technique, tiffozi needs to forget about the team victory!

The next round of the Formula 1 World Championship will take place in a week in Canada.
