The official website of BMW in Russia published new information, according to which the price fell from 720 thousand to almost three and a half million. For example, the 5th series fell in price by 1,26 million, and the modification of the M8 coupe - by 3,45 million. The full list can be viewed on the automaker's website.

No data is available for the third series. This is due to the fact that the previous version has already been discontinued, and the restyled version is not yet available on the Russian market.
As for the price drop, it looks even more suspicious in light of the fact that car deliveries to Russia have not been resumed. Dealers sell what is in stock and was delivered under previously concluded contracts.
Another interesting fact is that the official representative office did not report a large-scale drop in prices, although this should logically attract interested buyers. But in fact, prices have returned almost to those indicators that were 3 months ago, but this is not mentioned anywhere.

This is the first cost adjustment since March, when cars went up in price twice in a month. Since then there has been no information. The current changes are due to several reasons that are worth analyzing.
The Bavarian automaker not only stopped deliveries of new cars, but also closed branded service centers across the country. Problems with qualified service are not uncommon, and over time they will appear more often.
Another negative point is the lack of an established supply of spare parts. This applies to both orders and repairs under warranty. Suppliers have to use gray channels. The cost increases significantly, you have to wait weeks for delivery.

Most likely, it was because of this that the price tag was reduced. The company is getting rid of products in the Russian Federation, since transporting them back will cost even more.
This purchase can hardly be called profitable, given the problems that the car owner will face later. The collapse in prices may also indicate that representative offices will be closed in the near future.
