The new minivan from Buick was partially shown long before the official presentation. In all its glory, the GL8 Century model will be shown and talked about only in a few months. However, some details have become public.


The Buick GL8 Century car belongs to the fourth generation made for the PRC market. The name was taken from the passenger model, previously produced in China (1998-2008) and the USA (1936-2005). The car itself - the exterior and interior before the premiere was shown by the American automaker.





A distinctive feature of the exterior is the front in the form of a "shark nose". The design of the minivan is made with the "participation" of vertical narrowed optics in the form of navigation lights placed along the edges of the massive radiator grille. She is slightly leaning forward. The car has a length of 5,23 m (previously - 5,188 m) with a width of 1,98 m (for the previous model 1,878 m) and a height of 1 m, the wheelbase has become larger compared to its predecessor and amounted to 867 m As for the interior, the manufacturer showed only the most expensive Avenir equipment, where you can see seats upholstered in genuine leather, a partition with a 3,13-inch monitor integrated into it and a pair of separate seats in the rear passenger area.

In front of the cabin, in the center of the main console, there is a touchscreen, through which you can use the multimedia system, as well as adjust the climate control. In the top configuration of the minivan, a premium version of the Bose audio system will be installed, which implies the location of the speakers in the headrests.



There is little information about technical innovations. As experts suggest, it is not worth expecting a car with large, powerful engines to appear in the Celestial Empire. It is known that the car uses a set of electronic driver assistants SuperCruise, manufactured by General Motors.





After the premiere, sales are planned to begin at the end of this year. Legasy and ES models from the GL8 series of the second and third generations will remain in the offered range, as they are in different price categories.
