Diesel "Dnepr" from a modern craftsman
In 1949, a decision was made to liquidate the Gorky Motorcycle Plant. A year later, a hundred specialists who moved to Ukraine contributed to the creation of the Kyiv Motorcycle Plant. In subsequent years, he produced different models of three-wheeled vehicles, with different indices: "M", "K", "MT". Since 1968, the name "Dnepr" has appeared, in honor of the river on which Kyiv is located. The brand was quite successful, and was in high demand in Soviet times. This is confirmed by the fact that factory designers have repeatedly created special equipment for various sports competitions. For example, K-750SM won more than one medal in domestic and international competitions. There were also motorcycles for enduro and road racing in the collection of the plant.

From the very beginning of the production of equipment, motorcycles were produced for government escorts, which eventually received the name "Dnepr of the Kremlin Escort". The last in this series was the Dnepr-1989L, released in 14.9. Any heavy motorized equipment had one common drawback - huge fuel consumption. And if in Soviet times it was not so critical, today it has become very expensive. Therefore, modern MT owners are trying to find non-standard solutions. For example, installing a diesel engine. How this can be done - see the video from the Nazar Rudyk channel.
